SR100N17/SR100N25 High-Resolution Near-Infrared Spectrometers for Sugar and Moisture Measurement in Fruits

Innovative NIR spectroscopy transforms fruit inspection by combining speed and preservation. Through spectral interpretation, it non-destructively quantifies key quality indicators like sugars and acids, refining grading and handling processes.

Tailored for NIR spectroscopy, the SR100N17/SR100N25 models feature 0.9-1.7μm & 0.9-2.5μm ranges. With integrated stray light suppression and a high-resolution 512-pixel detector, they ensure accurate spectral readings in transmission, reflection, or absorption modes.

Within the 780nm - 2500nm NIR range, absorbed light induces molecular vibrations that create spectral fingerprints. Agricultural applications benefit from broad peaks caused by combination vibrations (C-H, N-H), enabling comprehensive quality analysis through chemical and compositional characterization.

• Near-infrared reflection detection method: Suitable for detecting information on the surface of fruit peels, such as color and luster, but not for internal quality detection.
• Near-infrared transmission detection method: Theoretically applicable to transparent or semi-transparent samples and cannot penetrate fruits. Less used in practical applications.
• Near-infrared diffuse reflection detection method: A measurement method between reflection and transmission, suitable for opaque, solid and semi-solid samples. The obtained spectral information reflects the characteristics of the internal structure of fruits and is widely used in the detection of internal qualities of fruits (such as sugar content, acidity, etc.).
