The optical path difference enables precise thickness determination using the extremum method, with inputs including θ, n, and spectral peaks. Thicker films exhibit tighter fringe spacing, while longer wavelengths create wider spacing. Measurement accuracy is optimized through proper wavelength and resolution settings.
